They seem to be steering every to call their "technical team" or "digital assist team". When I chatted with customer service, I was first told not to worry, since "it typically takes 6-8 weeks" for the credits to be processed. When I said that's ridiculous and everyone else seems to have been credited already, they told me I have to call the Technical Team.  When I called the Techinical Team, they were happy to credit me right away. But then I asked about credits for the rest of my authorized users, he told me that each of the authorized users would have to request their own credit. Heh heh heh. I told him that's ridiculous, since I'm the primary. Then he went off to get it authorized  by his supervisor, and came back and said he got it approved.

I don't see why they would give you anything if you haven't (1) registered the card number for the promotion and (2) spent at least $10 at a merchant that is arguably a small business.

So I called them and it was pretty smooth, even for Au's. Even gave me credit for a card cancelled over a year ago!  We'll see what happens.
Still no luck with Citi, sigh.

Very sloppy. And I actually asked this question before I sent my numbers, and was told they would be processed before midnight.

Did you receive email confirmation Saturday night? I received emails for all my cards by 7-8 pm! But the charges didn't post to Sunday! I called for myself and authorized users, but they needed to speak to my wife for card that she is primary. So I called again and gave her name. It was a big hassle. 2 calls lasted 30 minutes.

Really, getting Citi to credit the $10 should deserve it's very own thread.  Here's how I got my credit.

Thanks for waiting. I couldn't find a promotion for Citi Amex cards. Were you able to get your card enrolled in the offer? ^JJ

DM'ed My #, got a call back, had to convince guy that this was for all Amex's (not just Amex gufo). So I pointed him to https://sync.americanexpress.com/Partner/Terms (which is linked to from shopsmall.com) which clearly says "licensed third party bank licensed to issue AXP-branded Cards"

I told him I even got a confirmation email for registering and for spending, he told me to forward to customer.help@citi.com.
If you plan on doing this, he said you first have to initiate a correspondense through a DM, but I guess it cant hurt to start with email.
Sorry guys I asked him for a call back # for his department, but he wouldn't budge.

About half hour later he DM'ed me back that I will get credit.

All in a days work.

I called that direct # - 800-297-7500 - and they manually credited all my cards in one phone call (they have the GC registry flagged for what happened, since it was spent on saturday you get the credits).

BTW rep told me 1.7 mil cards were used (thats $17,000,000 given out by AMEX - thank you!)

was just told that around 5000 cards were processed at the lkwd GC registry

Any advice (besides be happy with what u got); I gave the wrong # for 2 out of 35 cards to the merchant (but was enrolled correctly), can I ask for courtesy credit, or maybe charge the card now and ask for it manually, saying i tried on saturday and didn't go through?

I also have the same issue with the gift card registry, none of  my cards were credited. I called them and Chatted with them now they are saying they will credit me on my next billing statement for all the cards.
 I think i'm gonna give up on the Macys card and the Penfed card though. For $10 each its not really worth the hassle.

The GC registry processed them at night around 7:30pm (i got amex emails then) there seams to be an issue with receipt. But the merchant did it right.
