Last year Malka just gave me the terminal at the 2nd register and let me swipe away.  Then she added up the receipts and gave me the credit on my bill.

How was your experiance this year, how long did it take you to swipe 25 cards.

I'm out of the country, but arranged in advance for Basil to charge all but one of my Amex cards tonight. I now have e-mails for all of them from Amex.

The remaining card I used to donate to one of the charities that was soliciting. Still havent received an e-mail on that card.

In Brooklyn:

Eichlers (Coney Island) $25 Gift Card .. long line here

Sushi Tokyo (Coney Island) $25 Gift Card .. shorter line but all Amex users

Liquors Galore on Ave J $25 Gift Card .. no line.

Tea for Two (Nostrand Ave) .. took the wife out and only paid 20 out of pocket and had leftovers to bring home

The top 3 location are all within 30 seconds from each other.

All Gift Cards were actual plastic cards and not flimsy receipt credits. I received the emails for all the cards within 2 minutes of swiping them.

All in all had a great night

$50 at her favorite yarn store

The charity will most probably be "batch processing" at the end of the night in order to minimize the fees.

The Mexican place only did GC in increments of $20, so we bought $80 worth on 2 Amex cards

$30 for $80 of GC there is a pretty good eal

The restaurant doesn't split between cards lol, or we would have done $60 split between two cards

$40 was the minimum on each Amex card we could do if we wanted the $25 SBS credit

I used my family's cards too, not just my own. I could not find all of the cards, and a couple did not work, but not too bad
