I made the mistake of not buying it on an Amex to get 10% CB from Discover. In the end it seems (hopefully) that Sony will repair it for free, but it's taking them forever and their tech support/repair CS is (surprisingly) worse than Dell's IME.

You mean buy from the store on Nov. 26 and hope for the best? Seems risky! There is no way to ask Amex beforehand as to what qualifies as a small business? Furthermore, what about my original question as to utilizing  Amex gift cards, will Amex recredit them for the $25?
