I got this reply after i told them about my email confirming i am part of it and my purchase was completed...help???

umm tell them that they sent u an email that it was registered and if they didnt want to include it in the promo they shouldnt have allowed registration

Somehow I think that next year, after enough of these types of complaints, we'll be "shocked" to discover Citi AMEXs cannot be registered (if they even offer SBS next year).

Just called about my issue of not being  credited and they credited me right away! (in the secure message they told me 2 times that they can't credit me:))

I was told the same a few times by Amex and Citi. Finally I called Citi and a supervisor credited 3 of my Citi Amex cards $25 good will credits.

Somehow I think that next year, after enough of these types of complaints, we'll be "shocked" to discover Citi AMEXs cannot be registered (if they even offer SBS next year).

They will just write it in the t&c, to make a system that validates the amex cc number is much more work.

i used my macys card online by a chabad org.
i used 2 other cards as well and i had to call to get the credit (someone else who swiped their card, didnt have this issue)

now i am getting the run around. Macys tells me they dont know anything about it and i have to contact American Express.

American Express is telling me they cant help me bec they cant even look up my Macys account, they have no jurisdiction over it...

the supervisor at macys amex sounded just as clueless as the rep.

Thankfully I only did one charge with them.

So after this lousy phonecall, I decided that I needed to win tonight so I remembed that I had some "pending business" with Citi regarding my SBS credit that never came through so I called them and, after the Indian dude started some kind of "dispute that they would review within 7 days", I asked for an account manager and she said she was familiar with the offer and was crediting me the $25 so I asked for "something better for having to call in" and after a brief hold she granted me a $50 statement credit.. Now I can go to sleep happier 

Just as a side note, I always ask for something to refer to the conversation later like name or rep ID#, so she gave me her "team #". Never heard of teams at Citi..

PS. I'll report if the "dispute" comes back positive as well!

What did you think, one Citi CSR can handle a call on his own? They teach new reps for 3 months, one learns how to use the green button and another learns what the red one does.

Funny. Actually my theory, which is also why I believe she was so nice to me, is that they have teams to see who can be nicest to customers as a means to promote themselves as a good company for marketing purposes.
I'm pretty sure Sprint has teams as well, even though my recent experience with them was like pulling major teeth...

i think the team thing with citi is just a id thing, some comp track by location of call center, they do it with team#, but ime its a little hard to track s/o by his team#

Its not to track, just to refer to the conversation in case the credit doesn't come through.

Anyone know if it's happening again this year? So I can start adding AUs gradually instead of all at once and get myself FRed.
