I mean if I buy 1 ticket at $65, the EV would need to be $45,500 assuming 700 sold, before factoring in taxes. Strictly talking about cash values, it's possible to be close. If you buy 3 @ 180, it goes down to 42k.

Split it and then do a 50/50 raffle with the other guy if you win. Still increases your EV due to bulk discounts.

Standard F awards on EY RT to MLE could easily cost them $60k+, I don't understand how they're cheshboning this.

Standard award rate is around 1.5MM each way JFK-MLE, they'd actually do better to just book the residence for 3MM.

700 tickets are the same regardless of who is making the raffle.

I'm saying the point of these sort of raffles is to make $$$. If you're buying tickets as an investment, chances are it is a bad investment. But since it is a good cause and can help you do something you otherwise may not have done, that can be worthwhile.
