Century 21 returns

Bought some shirts at C21 >30 days ago, and would now like to return them (most have tags still on them, none worn), but it seems their return policy is only 30 days.

No, I cant use return protection as I bought them on a non-amex with no return protection (was trying to meet a spend requirement), so I can't go that route.

Any ideas? TIA

i once wanted to return a shirt, i came to return it 31 days after i bought it and the guy said sorry he can't do it. i spoke to the manager, nothing doing. they told me i can call the HQ offices, and i asked them has anyone ever been successful via calling HQ, he told me no.
he said that the way they're able to have such cheap prices is because they have a very short return policy blah blah blah

correct, i was unsuccessful. it was only one shirt so i didn't really care that much. this happened in the Morristown, NJ branch.

i don't get whats so bad about e-bay (not the first time i read about it)?
i sell my stuff on ebay and had/have a really nice experience?!
example: just sold a used bathrobe that's like 6 years old for $10 instead of throwing it in the garbage ;D

Well, for that, that's a great use of ebay. The previous poster is likely just complaining about the fee structure (or the fees in general).

when i tried returning my shirt there, i asked for store credit and i asked what the policy was if i didn't have the receipt, etc. it was like talking to a doorknob. i guess you can try your branch, i'm just saying what happened to me...

I actually had a crazy story with C21 once. I had been at another store in the same mall and the receipt must've fallen off the C21 bag along the way. When I got to C21 and they asked for the receipt I was like, sure here it... um, where's the receipt? So I try to get them to give me store credit (this is the part relevant to OP) but they said after 30 days it's not returnable at all. Crazy part of the story is that I go back toward the other store I was at first to ask my wife if she has the receipt and on the way in I see the receipt on the ground of the parking lot in front of the store. Saved me a bunch of money.
