Update from Athens. As reported previously, Skyserv lounge (available through Priority Pass) has a limited amount of kosher food. Variety limited. But it's there. They say the officially.It is only for customers of El Al but these appear to be leftovers so they said it's fair game. I always like to take kosher food.Because it makes them see that there is a demand and maybe they will up their game in the future.

Do any of the paid lounges in Dubai (eg Marhaba, or Ahlan (used by El Al) or Skyteam) have kosher food? Aware that Emirates does, not won't have access to that on a long layover..

LuxxLounge in FRA Terminal 1 had a fridge with sandwiches and salads. But signage said it was reserved for EL AL flyers.

Weird thing is that it said Bagels on the signage but lots of salad options.

No clue on quality or taste...

Hi all

My first post here. Will be flying next month into JFK on Delta (First) and out on Virgin Upper. I have an 8 hour layover at the awkward time of 12am-8am. I know that both the Delta One and Virgin Clubhouse have kosher food offerings but given they don't open until 4.30am/5am, will I even be able to avail myself of this?

I'd say head into the city to get some kosher food at stores that are open late, then head back to the airport once the lounges open

You’re likely to know more than me but I couldn’t find kosher places in the city open past midnight? Or do you mean grabbing kosher things from 7/11 or Duane Reed type places?

I only familiar with Borough Park, there's VIP Grill, Panino among others are open until 2am. Goldberg’s supermarket is open all night. I'm sure there are more places open in crown heights etc.

Nah, you shouldn't go from JFK to Brooklyn to shop. Take care of your needs in the five towns.

If I had a post-midnight layover I'd want to check in to a hotel and rest not go schlep out for food but to each their own.

This still might be what I do but was trying to avoid having to sink an extra $150 on a couple of hours sleep and despite being a day flight could still doze on the JFK-LHR leg.

The food route will depend on my energy levels!

Go to the ohel. It’s close. There’s food, mikve, etc there. Open 24 hours.
