G930700 found this to be the best code for under age +18 it's with IBM never used it yet but gives good rates plus waives the under age fee.
Does this waive additional driver fees too?

I saw something on DD FB group that Avis gives a generous late return policy but cant find it again. As of right now I need 9 days and 2 or 3 hours in Kauai. Dollar is $530 for 10 days and Avis is $513 for 9 days. Want to lock something in till it gets closer and I try Priceline. Will Avis let me return the van a couple hours late?

I just got this email:

Travel is important to you, and so are its rewards. That’s why we want to inform you that in July, 2015, Avis First will become Avis Preferred Plus.

While members will no longer have the option to receive Weekend Rental Rewards, you will continue to earn your choice of Frequent Traveler credits (airline, hotel, etc.).

If you are an Avis First member, please continue to use the avisfirst.com website throughout the transition process to monitor your activity and view any unused or expired Weekend Rental Rewards.

If you take care of the ticket they won't charge you, you don't need to tell them anything.

set up a rental friday using a code to try to waive the underage fee. When i called to make sure they told me the code didnt waive the fee, but they asked if i was a military, USAA, or Costco member (not sure why the 3rd was placed in that category)  but i told them i am a costco member. She plugged in a costco code that waives underage as long as i present my costco membership at the rental. rep wasnt able to say code to me over the phone, but it gave me a better rate than i originally had along with waived fee.

-1 you need to tell AVIS that you got the ticket and are handling it so they don't pass on the ticket to you and charge you an administrative fee to do so.

That's if they charge you for the ticket.

this is incorrect. they can tell the courts that you were renting and levy an administrative fee for just letting the courts know who to mail the ticket to. even though you are planning on dealing with the ticket, the rental company has no way of knowing for sure what you are planning. this has happened to me.

Perhaps if you leave the ticket for to long, I've taken care of tickets a bunch of time and haven't gotten charged.

I payed the ticket right away and still got charged. either way takes 1 min to call the rental place and let them know you are dealing with it.
