I was looking for rental in Mia now (12/30-1/9) and it came very expensive with the aa corp. I got from a friend another code which gave me much cheaper rates. U299960 with coupon MUCA131 $30.00 gave me $30 or TUCA080 gave me a free day

I checked with U299960 and im getting $595. Your better off with Citicorp A074800 for $435. Why would you use a $30 coupon when I gave you a $35 off? MUWA191 is $35 off weekly

You're right. I did check with Citi and indeed it is much cheaper.

Do these codes give also $5 off per day like by hertz? I'm putting it in and out doesn't take any $ off.
Do you have others that can give $5 for 1 day?

I've never heard of a $5/day coupon for Avis. There's free weekend day(s), weekly (5 days+) standard &full-size $35 off, smaller $30 off. Monthly $50 off. Also, Avis doesn't deduct the coupon from the estimated total in your reservation. You will only see it noted 'coupon accepted'. Once you rent the car you will see the coupon deducted on your rental contract.
