Yes most companies allow change at the return even to cash or a debit card so don't see why pay now would be different. They just give you a cheaper rate bc it garauntees them the reservation

when you prepay for the reservation, you get charged at the time of booking. I don't see how you can change to a different cc if it was already paid for.

Even after the rental is paid for you can change the credit card by calling customer service.

Pay now means as soon as your rental is confirmed, whereas pay later you only get charged at the time of pickup.
pay later means at time of return. at the rental they take a credit card for a authorization  to hold not as a payment. payments are calculated at time of return

so there's no way to change the card if you use "pay now". i would think that they would put through the payment at the end of the rental even if its "pay now", bec there always trying to push better car and gps etc.

if you select pay now, the amount that's quoted will be charged to your credit card immediately. any subsequent charges will be charged after you drop off the car.

I made 2 reservations with Avis using USAA. While doing the second reservation I was logged in as an Avis First member that I got through World Master Card and even though there's no underage fee on the reservation, the AWD Number automatically switched to K115600 (WMC) instead of A177204 (USAA). Will that result in them charging me an underage fee?

So there's no way to reserve a car with my Avis First membership and still avoid paying an underage fee?

So I went ahead and changed the AWD number to the USAA one. Now I just need to redo the reservation and I should be good. Correct?
