lately, budget hasnt been sending me the amazon giftcards that are supposed to come upon completion of the rental

Budget in general has gone down the tubes. I used to rent often by them and they have become like a car rental in a 3rd world county or worse. Their website sucks, there is no one to talk to, and since they usually have drop cheaper rates you can wait on lines of 1.5 hours+. Fastbreak, majority of the time doesnt even have your car ready or they cant find your reservations etc.

Rented a car today for 3 hours in CLE. Drove 13 miles total for the day. Booked through Priceline. Drove the car off the lot with a Full tank and returned with a Full tank. Somehow they clocked me out at 30.9 gallons and returned at 29.9 gallons.
1. How the heck can they know how many gallons are in the tank?
2. How am I supposed to know how many gallons are in it?
3. They charged a minimum Fuel Service Charge of $15.99 and I ended up with a $35+ charge for allegedly bringing it back 1 gallon below full.

I think this is a racket they are running for those people that dont prepay for gas. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

i had similar experience a while back. i called in to CS and said i filled up etc
she said they had a chip in the gas tank which reads the amount of gas
i said maybe there was a prob with the chip reading. she asked me a hundred questions (broken english) where did i fill up? how many gallons? do i have receipt?
so i said i paid for gas inside with other items so dont remember exactly... got the fee waived and paid just for a gallon or two (min charge)

I had booked a van from Budget via Expedia to pick up in Jerusalem today to use for the next 2 weeks, but I arrived after closing time. The booking is not prepaid. Will they honor the booking if I showed up first thing in the morning? Anyone experienced anything similar? Expedia was no help, they said I'd have to cancel and rebook, but the same itinerary now would be $16k more.
