Does this chutzpa apply to all of Citi's cards? I made a large USD charge abroad, and Citi charged me a foreign transaction fee, even though the charge was made in USD, they said its in the t&c.

By now, many of you know, the Amex Platinum does not charge any f/x fee. The Harvard Alumni from Braclays also does not charge any and has no annual fee and fee-free 0% Balance Transfer for 6 months.

Charged my SPG in the Bahamas this past weekend (wanted the security of Amex CS just in case they tried to pull some shady activities) knowing that SPG charged a 2.7% fee but thankfully checked my bill and they didn't charge it!  Guess if the charge is in USD even though the soil is foreign the fee doesn't get charged.

Wait (for your monthly bill) to see if the charge shows up later.

Chase and Amex never charge foreign transaction fees if its in USD. Citi do.

Chase SP.

There's a reason why we call them "CrapitalOne". They hit all three CBs when you apply, their CS absolutely sucks, their "miles" are really just 1 cpp toward travel...

You misread his post.

The british airway cc and hyatt cc are chase cards.

And btw IIRC the new IB doesn't either charge forex fee.

ETA: The SP is also forex free.

I think the card with the annual fee is 2% towards travel. Why do say 1%? Huh??

I didn't say the reward is 1 cent/point per dollar; I said that each (fake) "mile" is worth 1 cpp. The CrapitalOne card(s) that give(s) %2 give 2 "miles" per dollar spent.

First of all, I know that the BA CC doesn't have a forex fee, i'm a holder of one, the above post was the point that if you use a freedom card, even its in USD, you will be charged forex fee.

Made my reservation at Avis Israel, US branch
