ZRH-JFK LX a330.

Only long-haul Y ever, and easily the worst flight of my life.

Never again.
I highly doubt you can say "survived" more like perished.

Nope, it was the AC glitch. Thanks for assuming my gender @zow
Huh?
Didn’t we talk in the lounge in YYZ and again in TLV?
I met your in-laws!

Hope so. Didn’t mean to offend.
Although I do realize that things are not always as they appear!

Most latest.

ORD-EWR-TLV
TLV-BRU-ORD

All flights in Y. ORD-EWR-TLV, BRU-ORD in UA Economy Plus. Traveled with the family on $500 tickets.

But used to do TLV-IST-FRA-ORD a lot in Y

Cool thread idea. Hope to never have a story for you.
Point of me posting is to show that is not that bad. I found long haul y less compact then domestic.

this is a huge point many overlook. also with kids not being as big as adults there is more room. i.e. I can steal some of my kids leg room for my legs

Since I've started with miles, furthest I've done was JFK-LAS in AA Y was even in the exit row so wasn't too bad. The return I flew AS F.

ETA: Actually checked back and see I did TLV-YYZ in Y back in 2014.

JNB-JFK and vice versa probably more than 20 times. (Both nonstop and with stops in SAL and DKR). I was on the inaugural JNB-JFK flight without a refueling stop, Port Authority Fire Dept met us on the tarmac with a congratulatory hosing.

Worst flight was JNB-AUH-JFK (2 hour layover was enough for a quick shower in the lounge, but that did little to alleviate the torture of that 14 hour second leg.) The outbound - JFK-AUH-JNB had an overnight layover and was a breeze in comparison. ($300 "glitch" flight)

JFK-SFO-SYD-MEL & MEL-PER-SFO-JFK (if memory serves)

JNB-Europe & NYC-Europe and vice versa many many times, honorable mention for awful suffering to Air India's CDG-JFK.

Ag the memories.......
Stops in DKR and ACC only to find out the "empty" seat next to you was for a fragrant native

Maybe once upon a time and for older aircraft. Not true for retrofitted aircraft if you're in Y-.

Call me crazy, but I love the UA 767 they fly internationally in economy. Feels pretty spacious, and screens are fairly large and hi quality.

That's an older aircraft, why would you be crazy?
Now try flying Y- on the 77W or retrofitted 772. Brutal!

I'm actually booked on the 787-10 in economy (for now, booked plan B) for a trip to EY first time in 7 years. Hopefully Plan B will work and it won't be relevant...

Not as bad the 772/77W, but certainly not pleasant.
