Price Protection questions
« on: October 06, 2011, 01:23:23 PM »
I have a couple of cards with Price Protection (CO and United).

Today, there was a mistake (I guess) on the Best Buy website.  They advertised the HTC Flyer Tablet (16gb) for $99.
The website said it was sold out online. Stores won't honor the price, saying it was a mistake.

Luckily, I printed out the page - and got a screenshot - before it was taken down from the web.

If I now purchase the tablet at the regular price, $299, will I recoup the $200 from my credit card?

AND... if the credit card won't do it, will those CCs at least guarantee me a full refund?

Well, I found out that Visa Signature' Price Protection doesn't cover pricing errors.

Although it seems like this is DovidR's private thread, I'm going to ask my question here bec I couldn't find a better spot.
On the cc's that have price protection/return protection/etc, all have a maximum yearly limit. Does it go by calender year or "month" year?
