Same here... I spoke with a handful CSR on the phone all of them said different info, and that I need the Freedom that only could be applied for in the bank...

I spoke with my Banker, and he said that any Freedom will work...

I think on first statement I already got the 10-10 points.

under my name it linked right away, under my wife it took 2 statements. Funny thing we only have one shared checking account!!

It's better if it doesn't link right away. Then you get to sm them for goodwill credits

My linked right away, between my first 2 months I got about 500 points from 10-10

For a goodwill credit they will give around 3000 points

I just downgraded my wifes SP card to Freedom with the plan to rather sign up from scratch for SP again since there is 4X the signup bonus. As i was finishing the call i happened to mention to the rep about whether i needed to do anything to link the new freedom account with my checking for the 10 10 or if it would go on its own. She tells me that only new Freedom accounts are eligible for 10 10 and not if you switched over from another account. I wasnt going to argue and would rather wait until i get the new account to just send SM. anyone have any experience with this? Sorry if it was mentioned in the thread already but i skimmed and didnt see it

lately Chase has been really difficult with goodwilling points.

I just sent them a SM as follows:
Hi, I opened a checking account with chase on 05/22/2012, and was promised to get additional 10 points per purchase and 10percent for every transaction, but I didn t start getting the rewards until a few days ago, I would appreciate of you can adjust the points balanace to reflect the true date of when I opened the checking account.

After a few minutes I got this disappointing answer:

Dear ###### ######,

I am writing in response to your email about the Freedom
Exclusive rewards program.

I would like to inform you that, once a checking account
and a credit card is established with Chase, it takes upto
three billing cycles for the enhanced rewards program to
set up on the account.

I regret that, the points earned are not retroactive,
hence, we are unable to make any adjustments to the
points.

If you have any further questions, please reply using the
Secure Message Center.

Yup, I would try another SM and if it still doesnt work I would PUTPAC
