A New Era For Freedom Exclusives?
« Reply #160 on: October 22, 2012, 11:46:37 PM »
Dan heard a rumor.
Can anyone give a guess where he got that info from?
I hope not from me....

Either way, I already have a freedom + checking, but still didn't enroll in the exclusives, will they enroll me after they end the offer since I opened both of them before terminated the program?
Love me or hate me. I still love you.

Perhaps you should hurry and get enrolled before the rumor becomes official...

I think the question is that he has Chase checking + Freedom but hasn't yet been automatically enrolled, and if the Exclusives is terminated prior to his account being enrolled, is he still eligible?

That's the question I'm assuming, but we all know what happens when you assUme.

When you have a checking account your card gets upgraded within a couple months of getting the card to Exclusives (you can also send a secure message to expedite the process)

Meshugener, why not send an SM to attempt to expedite the process?

is there a point in opening a cc for me, if my husband has one and i am an au?
most of the quarters its hard to hit the $1500 as it is (except for groceries)
and all spending is otherwise getting the 10% and 10 points per purchase

1. Signup bonus.
2. For the quarters that you do spend >$1,500.
3. Lock it in now, while Exclusives is still alive, who knows, maybe your spending patterns will change. Do a 3BM with two other cards and get some more points/miles in the process :D

These are all good reasons to get the card but why now? In regard to exclusives she can anyways get that as an AU in her Hubby's card, and in regard to the quarterly bonus that isn't going away. So might be worth waiting till Freedom has a better offer than 10k. Just my 2 cents.

1. She can get an additional $1,500 on her own card.
2. Her card will be eligible for exclusives if she gets in soon enough.
3. She can try matching to 20k.

When (if?) Exclusives gets set up for you, be sure to send an SM or two requesting them to add the points you would have earned if Exclusives were tied to your account from day 1.  Worked for me and a handful of others for both the Freedom and IB last year.

i spoke to my chase private banker, and he told me that the rumor is true, and will happen on nov 11, and if you have the card beforehand you will be grandfathered in

Can I open the card before the 11 and get grandfathered in? Or do I need to be part of exclusives by the 11th?

Worth a shot. People have gotten converted to the (old) Ink Exclusives 20% card after it was officially dead.
