Worth a shot. People have gotten converted to the (old) Ink Exclusives 20% card after it was officially dead.
for how long afterwards?

I don't remember, but I think for a while. Definitely will be easier if you got the card while they were still offering the 10%.

It's supposed to kick in automatically, but shoot off an SM and have them respond in writing that you're eligible. then save/print out the SM. Chase only holds onto SMs for 90 days.

just got this msg in response to my question about the program changing and wanting to get in before...?

Dear....,

At this time, I show that there will be no changes to the
Chase Freedom Exclusives 10/10 Rewards Program. Please
allow three billing cycles for the account to be
automatically upgraded to this reward program.

If you have any further questions, please reply using the
Secure Message Center.

Thank you,

If I open a new freedom acct with for my wife, do we both need separate checking accounts with Chase for the Exclusives or a join account is good enough?

At this point I'm not sure I can apply for new Chase cards, however I have some cards like BA or Hyatt that I don't mind switching in for the freedom (although I won't get the 10K bonus).
Is that at all doable without applying just calling in and asking to switch it?

i opened the united card in early july and have been eyeing the freedom and sapphire preferred to do the trifecta (i already have a chase checking)...

i always pif, but had been letting balances report and paying after statement cuts...starting this month, i'm paying before the statement cuts so that it always will report zero.  i was going to wait until next week to apply, but i figured i'd do it now on oct 31 just to be safe and try to make sure i can get into the old exclusives program...got the 7-10 day message.  i was planning on doing the sapphire at the same time, but i guess that's pointless now since i wasn't even instantly approved for the freedom?

what would you guys suggest i do?  they pulled TU and EX for the freedom, both scores are in the 720-730 range.

Why didn't you do a 2bm/3bm like originally planned? I've done a 3bm where none of the cards were approved automatically and needed a call to Recon.

+1, denial letter mean zilch, especially with Chase.
I've had this instance multiple times. I can KA"H boast that, so far, I've pushed through every single application that I ever put in with Chase, sooner or later.

Then what?

Maybe someone  else can chime in here but isn't it too late now? You'll get more than 1 pull if you do it now.
