I didn't think so. Was waiting to hear what the Count has to say, as he is the one that invoked it.
I was stating a fact.
Got me a new hotkey.  :)

Make it a good one for PC Friday the 13th!!! @jj1000
Ok, serious question.

What are the biggest contributing factors to the increase divorce rate within the orthodox community.

(I don't have stats, but it seems clear to me there is a big rise in divorce in our community.)

Although Divorce in the secular world is dropping https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2018/10/divorce-united-states-dropping-because-millennials/

Have you noticed more divorce these days or less? And what is are the reasons why?

It's the instant (gratification) generation.

As for the difference between the secular world and the orthodox one, the article makes a good point of marriage rates dropping as well and millennials waiting longer to get married, both of those don't apply to frum couples.

I think smartphones are a reason for divorce rates increasing, people communicate less and they spend time on social media seeing what other peoples perfect lives are.

Also of course divorce is more accepted these days.

You just answered for me.
More are getting out of the bubble and depending on how you look at it are either seeing the real world or getting corrupted.

That may be true for very insular chassidish communities, which I don't know much about personally, but I don't think that's true for most orthodox communities. People know what's out there from a young age nowadays.

Any chassidim out there notice a rise in divorce within your community?

Don't you think even in religious communities modernization is happening? Isn't this a constant fight/struggle within religious communities?
What if religious kids all went to public schools. More of a chance of them going off the chosen path?

But going off the chosen path isn't the same as divorce. The people I see getting divorced aren't going off the derech for the most part.

I agree if kids went to public high school the OTD rate would go increase.

Is it with newly married couples (1-3) years or older marriages (10+ years)?

I joke a lot about "you need to get out more" but this is what I am talking about. We all need to be exposed to all of this. Only then will we know if we are really true to our values.

I see a lot of the former. Much more than the latter.

Strongly disagree.

What you say, I look at the same as people raising their kids gender neutral. They use the same argument.

Gd forbid we should influence our kids to live the best life we want for them. It's ridic imo, giving kids too many options is not a good thing.

You missed what I said. The chosen path is how we raise our kids. Raising kids gender neutral is the chosen path the parents choose for their kids.

My kids went to Catholic and public schools. It was their choice for high school and beyond. They needed to be exposed to this. You know me, they needed to get out more.  :)

Yes, especially with newly-weds
If it benefits even just one fellow DDFer, its worth posting it.
