I would have said yes had you asked me this 6 months ago. Unfortunately that probably is no longer the case
Why not, what changed?

Can wait until tomorrow.  :)

Would you be able to be an impartial juror in the impeachment trial?

Interesting Q, 'cause before the actual hearings I would have been a "no" as I would be impartial towards the impeachment side. Now that I've seen the mess of the hearings, I'd probably be impartial the other way. So maybe I'm the perfect candidate  ;D

No you would be a terrible candidate. This isn't math.

The emoji my comment ends with is pulling a lot of weight.

It’s a YES or NO question. A shame to waste a beautiful Friday on it. :)

It’s a YES or NO question. Nothing PC about it & nothing FRIDAY about it.
The PC Friday part is the answer.

A better question would be what is impartial even supposed to mean in the context of that oath?

I really don't think even 1 of the 100 senators will be more impartial than me.

Fair enough but what does that have to do with being an impartial juror?

You look at the evidence and decide the case on that evidence.
Why do I feel her goes the merry-go-round again.

Exactly, but you knew that beforehand, and yet still you chose to drive another thread off rail. There is a politics thread on ddf, dedicated for all amusement park stuff.

The people that led the house committees, were playing such a dirty game it led me to believe  that they themselves thought that they had no chance if they played fair. which kind of says they have no case

Ok then I agree you could not be impartial. You are excused.  :)

Would you be able to be an impartial juror in the impeachment trial?
Let me turn that question to you with a twist.

Your impartiality tells you to vote one way. But you know that you and a select few are willing to be impartial, with everyone else voting along party lines, and your impartial vote goes against your party line and has the power to tip the scale. How do you vote?
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!
