I think I just lost my appetite!!
Hope it comes back before shabbos
Exactly, let the pig herd figure out their stuff, humans shouldn't give it legitimacy by getting involved.

and I'd imagine we'd see similar steps taken in Connecticut.

Personally, I think that the blood test is the ultimately objective test. If your levels of testosterone are above a certain number - whether naturally, or via supplementing, you shouldn't be able to compete in a female division. Regardless of the source and situation.

Measuring current levels of testosterone does not address the effect of prior levels on muscle and body development.

So there is this case going on in Connecticut - https://nypost.com/2020/02/13/connecticut-girls-sue-to-ban-transgender-athletes-from-high-school-sports/

3 girls are suing the state school sports commission (CIAC) to prevent two Trans girls (i.e. people who identify as girls, but were born as males) from running in female sports competitions.

Here is a profile of one of the two trans girls - https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2810857-andraya-yearwood-knows-she-has-the-right-to-compete

I've read both sides, and I think I understand them, but at the end of the day, there needs to be an objective way to determine who gets to compete in the Girls division.

I've found this from Judo Canada which I think does a good job of addressing it - https://www.judocanada.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/Policy_On_Transgender_Athletes_August_7_2017.pdf

and I'd imagine we'd see similar steps taken in Connecticut.

Personally, I think that the blood test is the ultimately objective test. If your levels of testosterone are above a certain number - whether naturally, or via supplementing, you shouldn't be able to compete in a female division. Regardless of the source and situation.

===============
Edit - two additional items:
- Both of the trans athletes in question, have not started hormone therapy, or are at the early stages of it
- Having met a few trans people, I can tell you anecdotally that no one is willing to go through the crap that they go through in order to notch a couple of High School trophies. So please spare me your theories about boys entering girls competitions as a joke

Wow this is an easy one.
All government sanctioned competitions should determine gender based on the birth certificate (until that’s compromised). Allowing men to compete in women’s competition is extremely misogynistic and deprives women of the opportunity to compete for greatness.

Private competition - do whatever they want. You wanna use a motorcycles in a foot race? Doesn’t bother me as long as the rules allow it.

What is not "ultimately objective" about the gender you are born as and is represented in every cell in your body?

Unlike your first quote, which is based on totally misinterpretation, this is not something we would be embarrassed about at all. I doubt it will make for good pc.
Killing someone because they engage in homosexual activity is not something to be embarrassed about?

Primary categories that come to mind are idolatry and associated practices, blasphemy and associated practices, adultery and other incestuous and illicit relationships, primary Sabbath violation, murder, wounding or cursing a parent, specific instances of kidnap for slavery, and specific instances of false testimony in capital cases. I'm sure I'm missing some big ones.
My head is spinning.

The Torah is our compass for morals and values. Throughout history humans had difficulties figuring those out on their own. We're not embarrassed about anything in the Torah.

I do apologize, I understand this was not the pc you were looking for  :)

No. G-d created man according to these terms. There is nothing unethical for the builder and creator of a building to decide to destroy it. An owner has rights over his property that nobody else has.

Not Friday but here we go. The G-d you believe in is the not same as the G-d the next person believes in.
If you tell someone your G-d says people who engages in homosexual activities should be put to death they are going to think you are a nutcase.

Since we went there let me ask this. A women believes she is the owner of the fetus inside her. Do you agree?

I don't how to respond with out coming off as attacking your religion.
I will say in this country we live by man made laws. It would be impossible to live by religious laws as no two religions have the same set of laws.

let them think whatever they want to think

i dont feel the need to prove my convictions to them, but if u feel the need u can simply ask, and so how does the health of religious jews' family compare to that of those with other convictions?
