A good place to start looking is flights.google.com, type in your starting location and the dates, then expand the map below to see your prices. I then double check with ita to make sure the google flights prices are valid as they often aren't. Turns out ita doesn't always spit out bookable flights either I guess.

So go to Alaska, that would probably get you the most miles, as it can be done on Alaskan.

Would think more of a chance that they would book on a mainstream airlines like Alaska, than on some private Air North type of airline. Would net about 15k miles.

While very possible as a majority of mainstream travel agents aren't too bright, I've never actually dealt with them....
