Hi Im looking to buy a car from some guy near waterbury off craigslist. I want to bring it to a reliable mechanic in waterbury can someone suggest an honest guy there to look over the car he would see more than uneducated eye would. anyone know anyone who might know?

Have not been there in a while, but I used Brass City Auto on Thomaston Ave a couple of times. Honest and nice guy.

@lost_my_dolphin you saved my day yesterday. I had to be in Waterbury for a few hours, and had looked at this thread before going. On my way in, I got a nail in one of my tires, and it started deflating quickly. Based on your recommendation, I drove straight to Brass City Auto, and was out in a half hour with the tire plugged for only $15. A flat tire could've easily messed up my day, but ended up being nothing more than a small delay.

There is a kosher store called Waterbury Kosher World which also contains a pizza shop and deli. Prices are listed on the website.
