If the gvir culture is unsustainable for someone with $52m in the bank, it says more about the gvir culture and less about the $52m.

Yep. Fiscally, annuity is dumb (inflation and time value of money), but from a human emotion standpoint it may be the better option.

This is often discussed when analyzing lottery winning best strategies. Literally sometimes less is more

I know this ruling may not be applicable inside a school, but imagine if one teacher in Uvalde had a concealed weapon?

The way my imagination sees this is a western style shootout between people who are untrained killing many children stuck in the middle

To me it seems more that Kavanaugh's opinion is about pushing back on the lies that gun control advocates will say about this ruling. It does not limit the reach of the majority (to which he and Roberts signed on).

I did not yet read the whole opinion, but the Syllabus explicitly mentions that “laws forbidding the carrying of firearms in sensitive places such as schools and government buildings" and makes it clear that those can be fine.

The teacher might have ended up like John Hurley, the good samaritan who used his gun to kill an active shooter.  Police had been called, and as they ran up they saw the man with a gun... and killed Hurley.
