While I love the idea, I think it is a long term mistake. Netanyahu needs to be careful in case the Dems win 2020 and overtake the Senate. You dont want to alienate the WH

So they can ban people who support the boycott?
If you want to vote Democrat, you are being very disloyal to Jewish people and very disloyal to Israel, Mr. Trump said.

They can ban whomever they want really although they won't. This is just political posturing and something I don't really find unreasonable.

They should come up with a better reason than the boycott.

I think that from a PR standpoint, they should welcome them with open arms in their capacity as Congresswomen and say that from the rhetoric they espouse, they clearly don't have an accurate picture of Israel. They should give them grand tours and princely treatment. Then, after they return and keep talking against Israel, they will be fair game, and they won't have the excuse that they were't let in. Israel can say that were glad to show them the truth but they obstinately refused to see.

It would make more sense from the public perception standpoint.

Banning an elected member of congress does not show you are a friend of the US. It shows you are taking sides in a political US battle. It will come back to bite you.

They're not interested in grand tours. They made their own plans, which include meeting with all the troublemaking groups. Theyre there for the propaganda & to stir up trouble.

Exactly, they would sneak away and pose with all the "suffering gazans". They would make sure to stop and take a pic at all the hot spots with all the fabricated scenes of despair so they can flash it in front of every one of their wretched followers.

You can bring a horse to the water but you can't force him to drink, the whole idea of the trip was a failure to Israel no matter how you look at it. Israel chose the lesser of the two evils by keeping them out and not giving them the "I was there, I saw it!" claim they so desperately crave.

Nope. Ten years ago you may have been right. Today the media will completely hide any nice treatment theyve received from Israel and try to frame it in the way they always do, that Israel is an oppressive regime tormenting Palestinians.

The New York Times has recently kowtowed to screaming Leftists on Twitter and changed a headline to please them. They will NOT portray any nice treatment from Israel in any way.

So say the US sorted out it's differences with Iran, and they become close allies, and there are 2 elected officials in Iran who still chant "death to America", you believe it's in the US's best interests to allow them in here?
