I'm just curious how one can worry about being medakdek about pronunciation, when most of the Ashkenazi Jewish world in no way, shape, or form, speaks anything close to the pronunciation of a semetic language, which Hebrew is.
I did not refer to pronunciation. I referred to uttering words with the wrong letters SHIN instead of SIN and cutting words short or totally not uttering them (during Ashrei and Aleinu).
I also thought he sounded good, then again I didn’t go looking to criticize every little detail and I actually enjoyed myself, even though I was frozen
Had I been there Davening mincha at the same time (especially if in there cold weather) I would have likely not noticed. I heard it after the fact on YouTube and went back to verify that it wasn't just my ears failing me.
I am accustomed to Davening almost every Shabbos with the most unbelievable Chazzan (as in "no one would believe that you let this guy be Chazzan every Shabbos", and yes - that one too is paid for, just ask
@MeirS) so it doesn't really bother me. I just think it's embarrassing for the Chazzan.
