Here is something I just don’t get:
As a mesayeim, I’m not looking for any recognition- I may make a small private lechaim to celebrate. But how is it that there were multiple mesaymim way up in the upper section (next to me were several mesaymim, a Daf Yomi magid shiur, and a Rov who finished Shas), while the dancing on the floor was reserved for those who had field seats, many if not most of whom were not mesaymim. It’s nice that field level tickets were given to Roshei Chaburah and understandable that there were premium tickets sold with field access, but how do you have a Simcha without the focus being the baalei simcha?
Imagine a shul making a kiddush this shabbos for its Daf Yomi chabura, and the chabura being seated in a far corner with some kichel while the prominent shul members are seated up front, making lechaims and dancing. It would look somewhat bizarre.
I would have like to have seen some sort of access for the mesaymim at the time of the actual siyum and dancing so they would rightfully be the focus of the siyum, which is after all why 90,000 yidden came together in the first place....
