Then you didn't have enough or the proper layers on IMHO.
It was 37, not -7. Even if you're sitting still, you can tolerate that just fine with enough and the proper layering.

While I'm at it, I want to also personally thank you for last week's Siyum Hashas. I know you must be wondering what I'm at right now, but I went through your Iceland prep guide, and geared myself and my two little boys (ages 6 and based upon your recommendations in that guide. To say that it really "made" the Siyum is an understatement! I'm still rubbing my eyes in shock at how everyone around me was freezing to death, constantly running into the warming rooms, and returning with coffees etc., while my kids and I just sat there calmly, enjoying every minute of the event. I did not use gloves, nor did I touch the hand and foot warmers I brought along for myself. So on behalf my boys and myself, thank you for that as well!
