Not sure I agree with all of their judgments. @Something Fishy what say you?

I'm not going to evaluate sharpness without seeing the full-res file, and most of the dynamic rang issues can typically be overcome when shooting RAW.

That being said, I preferred the Pixel over the Note on every single picture. The colors were more accurate, the noise was lower, and overall they just looked better. The Note's pictures are all washed out and overly warm.

The only place where I felt the Note was better was in the background of the cupcake image, I feel that the Pixel was a tad overexposed. But the overall image (especially the colors of the cupcakes) was way better on the Pixel.

I find your analysis interesting.

How can you tell which colors are closer to reality by just seeing the two photos?

The one photo that stood out to me as hands down pixel was the cupcakes, where it seemed to capture them with vivid detail, compared to a washed out look on the note photo.

Once upon a time I would have been willing to lug camera equipment with me on trips.  That said  I have a love/hate relationship with Samsung.  Not had a chance to play with the Pixel yet.

While the photo's quality are fine for online - to much noise for for larger reprints.

A variety of Note9/10+ shots with optical/digital zoom and wide angle - while it won't replace a 300mm lens - I had almost instant access - Nubian Ibex and kids at Mitzpe Ramon crater in the Arabah.  The pastel's of the fresco walls at the chapel bar at 'The Jaffa' still blow me away. The raindrop on the flower at ancient Tel Shilo all the pictures are unedited and without filters (exception food shot at Nof Ginosar Kibbutz hotel) just AF/AIS and pure SW/HW processing.

The current series Note is still limited by the camera chip.
