Uber just opened kiosks at YYZ to book an Uber without a smartphone.

If they roll this out elsewhere, I imagine it could be very useful to people who don't have a smartphone or don't have roaming data and are travelling internationally.

I don't know about Fruber, but I do think this is another nail in the coffin of the taxi industry.

If these kiosks are successful I wouldn't be surprised if we eventually see them in train stations, stadiums, and maybe even a kiosk on busy street corners. That would probably be a huge hit to taxis.

no! unless they open a Kiosk in everyone’s house and on every street in Brooklyn and Lakewood etc. but will definitely hurt their business

 Now waiting on lyft to have this option as well.
 Good for YYZ being the first of a kind for this!
