Mordy, the free victory they are speaking about was from a deal last year. It was a sprint prepaid phone.

Oh yeah, I remember that! It was useless to me because it only worked on Sprint Prepaid, and was not compatible with any other Sprint plan (worked for MVNOs like Ting though!).

I remember a few people in Sprint thought it was a loophole to get free phones and then found out it wouldn't work with their post paid plan.

I am looking for a dumbphone with simple talk 'n text (including picture messages) and a convenient place to keep memos. I am currently using the good ol' Palm Centro which has all of the above plus a couple bonuses. I wish this would last me longer but they're off the market completely. Does anyone have any suggestions of something that would be a good replacement for the Centro?

I'd go for G4, have them unlocked and sell em day of release with overseas shipping.

Thanks for the advice.

Sell on Ebay or Amazon ( i don't have a sellers history on either)? What would you list the price as? Also wouldn't a overseas buyer rather receive a sealed brand new phone and unlock it himself?

While the g4 isn't as popular as the iphone if you sell it the day of release or beforehand you def could make more on it at this point. Meanwhile you'll do WAY better selling it off an account that has good ratings already.
And having a device unlocked depending on the device/carrier isn't always easy.

I'm so flabbergasted that the majority of the new phones have worse battery life than their predecessors. Ridiculous.

It used to bother me, but for $27 I got two extra battery's and a external battery charger and now I splurge on the battery full brightness and location always on and don't worry at all about battery life, only plugged my phone in twice since I got the battery's. It's not the must convenient thing but better then a battery case or portable battery.

My HTC One m8 had the longest battery by far of any device I've ever owned.  Lasted me through the day no problem.
Silly someone decided to be nice and upgrade my device to Lollipop and I'm down to mediocre battery.  I happen to have an upgrade but at this point there is nothing to upgrade to.

I'm not a fan off rooting but maybe I'll do that.

That's one thing about Android.  Upgrading is rarely a smooth transition.

And if I weren't "stuck" with Sprint I could at least buy ANY device out there... but alas... stuck stuck stuck.

I'm also with sprint. They'll have the G4 when it's out any reason that you wouldn't want one?

I actually had 1 delivered today off upgrades on my account.   I have no reason to believe the battery will be anything to write home about.
The G3 had pretty awful battery actually. I'm still waiting to see reviews on the G4 but if I haven't heard by now anyone mentioning the battery I doubt I'll be surprised.

I'd like a z3.
