Okie doke, now that that has been handled... i mean addressed... i mean acknowledged... I should find a way to also get an indemnifying DDF sig. Oh, how life would be simpler.

Currently have Nexus S 4G and iPhone 4S. Next upgrade will be in about a year to the then-current Nexus line.

Yep. I had played with both platforms and found pros and cons to each. Ultimately, I decided to have my cake and eat it, too.

That's a bit much for the average person, but whatever works for you

Can you please tell us what the benefits of each are? What do you use each of them for?

Sure. Just some intro - I used iOS for a while, but got android for some features iOS didn't have. Didn't give up iPhone because of some apps that were iPhone only and OS lock-in (I had spent enough money on iOS apps that I was reluctant to just drop it.) With time, many reasons evaporated - more apps became available on Android, etc. but I had already gotten used to certain pros and cons of each system, and was reluctant to give one up. It sort of grew on me. There are still advantages to each, but would I use two devices if I was starting now? I can't really say, because I'm not starting now.

That being said, these are the most significant pros of each platform (for me):

Android Pros:
Google Integration - gmail, voice (those two are biggest for me) reader, music, etc.
Multiple homescreens with widgets
Swype
TOR
Pentest/Security apps

iPhone Pros:
Battery Life (lasts significantly longer than any android phone I've had) - My android lasts about 50% as long as the iPhone.
App lock in (Particularly expensive apps such as LogMeIn ignition)
Better camera (even when compared to 8MP android cameras - my wife has a photon - the iPhone cam is better)
Much much better Jewish apps available (Siddur and various seforim)
Much better Hebrew support (I use iOS for writing chiddushei torah on the go)
iTunes U - this is really great!

I also have an iPad so that factors into the platform issues, favoring iOS.
