and there are many levels... although some of the very 'high ranking' Lubavitchers don't come from Gezhe at all.

The proof that you should eat in the sukkah on shmini atzeres is that there were torrential downpours while I was eating outside that day.

The rest of 3 day YT got much nicer as then we ate indoors.

NY also had downpours.

The biggest problem was the whisky getting diluted if left in a cup for a sec

I was in LA for the first days of sukkos with a heat wave reaching to lower 90s.
was in NY for the last days and the downpour on shmini atzeres wasn't fun. I experienced both extremes

Technically you should add some water to whiskey to better appreciate it. Of course then you need to say more l'chaims before getting shikkur.

Correct. But not the amount that was coming down that night.
And the cedar aftertaste isn't very nice...

@dhdata not all but many don't eat anything made outside of their home. Meaning no milchigs, processed foods, garlic, oil, etc... really anything you buy in a package besides meat from the butcher.
