That would be against הלכה! Lubavitchers are מהדרים במצוות and do not compromise הלכה one bit!
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

If the big one has a rain roof, then the small one is for drinking/snacking when it's raining.

I've seen many times that the kids have their own little sukkah. I don't think that fits into the category of something only a Lubavitcher would do though.

I've seen small sukkas right by the door for quick drinks.
I don't sin, I give myself opportunities to repent.

Many of us have seen that, but to have a small Sukkah right outside the main one for having a quick snack or drink IN THE RAIN is rather unique!

1. Lubavitch are not מחמירים, but rather מהדרין.
2. I am totally unaware of other circles where people will go out to the Sukkah in the rain even for a drink of water. As a matter of fact I remember a place where I worked several years ago that had a Sukkah on the roof, and when I came down from having my lunch a co-worker asked me "is it raining yet?" as he wanted to eat indoors, and was waiting for a Halachic reason for that.

And there I was thinking that the small succa was for eating matza in so that the matzah doesn't get into the other food.

The Tur and others call eating achilas aray in the sukkah a chumra not a hiddur.

Drinking water in the rain in the succah is something even the tur wasn't machmir on.

Two people can do the exact same thing, one might do it as a chumra, the other might do it as a hiddur.

I doubt anyone would say that Lubavitchers are machmir not to sleep in the Sukkah, but Lubavitchers are definitely mehader not to sleep in the Sukkah!
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!
