This has nothing to do with emunas chachmim.
We have here a huge posek and Talmid chochom that acted in a certain way that you don't understand. You could believe that he knew what he was doing, even though he didn't consult with you
All to do with emunas chachamim, you want to trust him without reason based on nothing.
Part 2 is that he was a posek etc, whoch would be the trust I meantioned above.
Did paskin that way, or did it for himself? for himself I have no questions; if it was a psak, even for the sake of Talmud torah I have the right to question it, if it's al pi kabalah it's a different story too.
