Apparently, the Rebbe initially made the גזירה on 3 cups which total a רביעית. Later it was changed to 4 cups so it comes to just under 4 oz.

Once the game is over, the king and the pawn go back in the same box.

Didnít listen yet, but looks like it might be relevant.

https://collive.com/show_news.rtx?id=54312&alias=violating-rebbe-s-limit-on-drinking

I didnít listen, however imho itís a unique yetzer harah that Chabad has being that it is forbidden to us. (Not getting into how Chabad comes from Russia and heavy drinking was part of its DNA, due to the cold, rough spiritual climate they lived in, etc.). Once we have established that, why does anyone sin? We were all commanded by Hashem to live a elevated lifestyle, however we all face our personal challenges, and many (all?) of us struggle in different areas of our life.

P.s. I do not condone the practice at all, just addressing a question that was asked.

So it is, we follow the opinion of Rabbi Chaim Naeh that a Reviíis is (approx) 3 ounces.

Semi-relevant aside:

My rov was relaying how when he lived in toronto, he once went to the purim seuda of a chashuva lubavitcher whose children he learned with. The host had a bottle of absolut, and 2 apples, which he cut up into pieces. He would take a shot, then eat a piece of apple, continuing until he finished both the bottle and the apples - and he didn't get particularly drunk. (No idea if this is a lubavitcher thing, or just this guy's shtick.)  Something about apples counteracting the alcohol in some way, getting you less drunk or less sick or something.

At which point I chimed in, well you know what they say, an apple a day...

*I never heard of anything specific with the apples
*odds are it's the guy's tolerance, nothing to do with the apples
*there is discussion about whether and to what extent the rule applies to purim

There are/have been some old Russian Lubavitchers in Toronto who handled a whole lot more than a bottle of absolut.

For the next ~2 years will need to allocate about 5 more minutes per day for Tehillim.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

My grandfather says the kapital for all 7 Rabbeim as as well all of his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids in addition to the Tehilim of the day. Doubt it will make a difference for him.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

The beauty of being in כולל תפארת זקנים (even if it's only בכח). Though no matter how much Tehillim one says, throwing in קיט does add a few minutes.
