My grandfather says the kapital for all 7 Rabbeim as as well all of his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids in addition to the Tehilim of the day. Doubt it will make a difference for him.

The beauty of being in כולל תפארת זקנים (even if it's only בכח). Though no matter how much Tehillim one says, throwing in קיט does add a few minutes.

Chas VeSholom. Not one bit. But a brief unofficial survey that I made found one person who's been saying קיט since כה אד"ר and a few who don't say the Rebbetzin's Kapital at all, and some that said they are planning to split it.

I was not specifically regerring to the rebetzin, as you mentioned, reciting her kapitel may or may not be the same הוראה לרבים and/or subject to the same 'chumros'.
there are מענות in regards to one's personal kapitel that are relevant to pretty much all אדר  birthdays

I don't think so.

The Rosh used to scream that anyone who was sitting and looking at the chazan was a fool, as the only source was from the Rebbe and he stood, so why would you copy only half of his minhag?

I have no source but it seems like in Chabad it's considered more of a Berocho than a Tefilla. Rather then answering כן יהי רצון, we respond with אמן and we (the Rebbe) would stand and face the Shat"z.

I would guess this might be the case.

Don't get me started about that edition. That being said, as far as I am concerned a הנהגה of the Rebbe is a source.

Then you have those who climb over in order to be able to actually SEE the chazan. Where's the ראיה that one needs to see the chazan rather than just face in the direction?
