They changed the way they charged fees recently, so there isn't a blanket formula. But you can get a quote on their website, without creating an account (the only website I've found that will do that).
I transfer cash frequently from Canada to Israel. Xoom (acquired by PayPal a couple of years ago) was cheaper last month by a few dollars (I didn't really understand how they were able to do it so cheaply), but even so, the hassle of dealing with Xoom didn't make it worth it. Nothing has been smoother than transferwise. Anyways, this month I check the prices again and Xoom went up, leaving transferwise cheaper again.
