Messages on Mac
« on: April 28, 2015, 01:53:18 PM »
A few months ago (due to a software update), I was able to receive and send regular SMS through the Messages app on my Mac, but this recently stopped working and it's back to how it used to be with only being able to send/receive iMessages. Anyone else have this or know why this is happening?

Sign out of iCloud on both iPhone and Mac and sign in using same email. Make sure iMessage is then activated on both. Lastly on your iPhone go to Settings>Messages>SMS transfer>turn on for your mac and follow the instructions.

My pleasure glad it did! If you ever turn off iMessage on your iPhone you'll need to redo the last step

Ah now it makes sense. Turned it off when I was out of the country...
