Recommendations on lens fluid would be cool, too.

cheapest way ive found is to go to opticontacts.com and find how much they cost, then call 1800contacts and ask them to price match opticontacts.com. no questions asked and they are amazing! if a lens rips they will give you a replacement free and when/if you get a new prescription they will take individual lenses back :)

I found contactlensking.com to be the cheapest. 1800Contacts will match their prices.
1800Contacts has great customer service, and if a lens rips they'll replace it

I buy all the time from http://www.visiondirect.com
I guess it depends on what you're buying but I get Acuvue 1-day 30 per box usually $25 but there's always coupons that will make it like $19 shipped.

Thanks for the info.  It came out cheapest for me at walgreens with a 20% off coupon.  The promo code is BTS4. One use per customer.

1800 Contacts....
Listen to this.

My wife is the frugal one for the most part, she likes to haggle till she gets the best price. She find a coupon for 10 percent off 1800 contacts.

Go to the site find the acuvues I wear and starts to place the order to see what it cost per box. The site offers her free shipping if she orders a year supply. She leaves the computer comes back and goes to close the page, before the order was placed, she gets a notification for a coupon for 15 percent if she orders now. She gets frustrated because she can't figure out the correct aperture for my lens since its not on the prescription. She calls... now YMMV... but the first try she gets a nice lady who is helping her out through the checkout process and is placing hte order. She mentioned to the lady she had a 10 percent coupon that's why she started the order, the cs rep says sure maam let me credit you for the 10 percent coupon. Then my wife says what about shipping? She says maam since you had trouble on our site we will offer you free overnight shipping. Sweet right.. well it gets better... she lets the cs rep she was offered a coupon for 20% off if she placed the order via the internet the cs rep didn't think for a second maam sure no problem I will credit you the 20 percent off.

The moral of the story is that she was never offered a 20 percent coupon, but the cs rep didn't mind giving her credit to make sure she is a happy customer what would have been if she told her that she was offered a 30% coupon?  Mind you the cs rep never asked for coupon codes or verification of discount.... so I got my year supply of lenses for 89 bucks and change and they were left by my door the next morning.

Yes YMMV but you can always HUCA and see what happens.

Interesting discussion.  Contact Lens King has definitely been the cheapest per their website -- and we have ordered from them twice for my son.  But is 1800 contacts will beat the price....and you can find a coupon or two....that sounds like the best deal.
