I've never ordered lenses online before, so pardon the ignorance--but for those who have found lenses cheaper on other sites, visiondirect or lensking, whichever...why price match through 1800contacts? Why not just purchase from the site that you found for cheaper to begin with?

you find a really cheap site like vision direct and get 1800 contact to match and beat them plus they have coupons sometimes and can use that too. got a yr supply of acuvue for 109
If you don't care why would you comment?

Beware the biggest gimmick these sites use.
FREE SHIPPING (but $5-$10 in "handling fees)

Different reps at 1800contacts just told me that its not possible to combine coupons with a pricematch. Anyone had different experiences recently?

Also, any way to get around them calling (or being able to get through....) to my eye doctor? He wont be too happy at all. And looks like they need a registered doctor..

I sent them a fax with the prescription from my eye doctor -- they didn't call to verify, and they accept the fax of the script.

Had the same experience as you where the rep wouldn't combine a coupon with the price match -- tried the HUCA method to no avail :(

The topic of this thread says the words "online" how could a brick and morter store compete with the online stores regarding discount and price?
Palm5 says: Uhhhh what's blackberry?

philbenjoe says: A handheld celluar device. What's your question

Maybe they buy them online from 1800Contacts price matched to a cheaper place and used coupons. Then they can sell them for the cheap online price and still make money. :)

Why not?  They just check with your dr that the prescription you provided is correct
If you don't care why would you comment?

cheapest way ive found is to go to opticontacts.com and find how much they cost, then call 1800contacts and ask them to price match opticontacts.com. no questions asked and they are amazing! if a lens rips they will give you a replacement free and when/if you get a new prescription they will take individual lenses back :)

I have used lens.com and they do the same thing as 1800 contacts. They always rush my contacts also.

lens.com always seem to be cheapest. Not sure if the lenses are legit. Boxes always have some Chinese on them.
Part of the vast right wing conspiracy.
