Focus Groups
« on: September 05, 2019, 09:06:19 PM »
Does anyone here participate in focus groups?
In the past two months I've made $500 for 8-10 hours of my time. I only participated in online ones, so I was able to do it in my spare time. There were many more available in-person, but I wasn't able to do those. IMO it's an easy way to earn some spare cash.

Seen this discussed in previous posts from  a while ago, but thought I'd start a new one.

Every once in a while I get invited to apply to a Google user research thing. I think I one time signed up to get these offers. Never did it because I was never able to work it out schedule wise

My Tapatalk notifications don't always work.

Link?

Here's my opinions of the few that I've tried with links. Rated on a (lowest)1-10(highest) scale for the following categories:
A: Ease of access. Easy to see surveys/groups and answer the questions for them...
B: Incentives. On average, are you getting $40 or $200...
C: Amount of surveys/groups available to take part...

Apps
Focus Point Global. EoA 8. Incentives 6. Amount available 8.
It appears that they are the one of the leaders in this sector and therefore have a nice app as well as tons of surveys. However being one of the leaders, it doesn't offer the highest pay, but still not bad.
Example https://ibb.co/PDhZVNP
Mindswarms EoA 9. Incentives 2. Amount available 2.
The app is extremely clean and easy to use. However the studies are few and far between, and I have never received a follow-up on any of them. Perhaps this has to do with the fact that they require a short video of yourself when signing up . The incentives are pretty low overall.

Websites
Schliesinger Group EoA 6. Incentives 8. Amount available 7.
This is by far the best over I've signed up to. The sign up process is a bit more daunting than the rest. You must send in a pic of your ID to prove you're not gaming the system with multiple accounts (now, where would anyone ever get that outlandish idea). The website on which you answer the initial questions to determine your eligibility for specific surveys is pretty dated but still does the job. As far as incentives go, the lowest I've ever been offered was $100 with the average being $150. Your receive emails with available surveys and if you qualify will receive a phone call following up relatively quickly to confirm your answers.
Example https://ibb.co/n3JM183

20|20 Panel
The only ones I’ve seen are on Impractical Jokers
EoA 6. Incentives 5. Amount available ??
This seemed to be pretty good, but since completing my first study with them I've only received one more study offer.
Example https://ibb.co/nPHpfbW

Fieldwork EoA 4. Incentives 4. Amount available 3.
This company only does in person, so I've never done one before.
Example https://ibb.co/8N8wXZf

Again, This is all just my personal opinion and experience.

Just wanted to jump in here, there is also an app called Google Opinion Rewards which offers up quick, 30 second surveys, once a week or so, and pays out anywhere from $0.15 - $1 per each survey. They generally take me no time at all, and deposit directly into my PayPal account every time I reach $2. It's nothing that will make you rich - but every dollar adds up.

Usually, when you get to the end of the initial survey, it tells you.

Tried quite a few offers at FPG but didn't qualify... Any minimum requirements in order to get pre-approved?
