This entire thread keeps debating whatever the civilian did or did not pass the red light, what hasn't been discussed is that the cop sped like crazy while there was 2 pedestrians crossing the avenue, coming to think if not the accident with the other vehicle the cop would have gone straight full speed into these 2 pedestrians.

What some of us are trying to do is get the facts. Not post things like "cop sped like crazy" with nothing to back it up. What were the pedestrians doing in the street with an emergency vehicle coming. That had to see it at least 100 yards away.

Whether he was speeding or not he
1) went through the light without coming to a stop
2) he drove through the crosswalk while pedestrians were crossing.
He couldn’t be bothered to practice “due regard” & has no business driving an emergency vehicle.

it takes longer to get out of a street than it takes for a car driving fast to go 100 yards.
In addition they may have been looking in another direction for a moment. Which his why cops should have a siren on so pedestrians and vehicles know he's coming before they see him.

I know nothing. Didn't even watch the video. Was basing my statement on whatever  is being spoon fed to me here

Half the problem is that many are feeling that the cops are going to protect their own and therefore we will never know......until the same thing happens to a black kid. Then we are supposed to trust the investigation.
