FTFY.

And the fact that you see so many leased minivans in the community proves my point. One of the reasons people lease is because they feel like they are much less likely to have issues with a car in its first three years (and if there is anything wrong, it would be covered by the warranty).
Agreed. I never bought, always lease under business, last car I leased was a BMW 750I M, and when the lease ended I made the mistake of buying it. Warranty was over and problems started left and right, power steering , radiator, battery, fuel pump, headlights, and there was a class action suit about the N63 engines burning oil, so BMW paid dealer $12500 to fix, a few days later chassis warning light, all this within a year after warranty expired, I am selling it after the crazy $$ repair costs, only has 42000 miles , this particular model was a lemon, had many BMWs before , never a problem while leasing as the car is under warranty. I'll go back to leasing.
I was the Best, still the Best, and will always be the Best.

My guess is that one of the main reasons you don't see many more of the 12/15 passenger vans is the absence of lease/financing deals similar to what one can find on minivans (might be related to lower residual value).

I know that at some point I was looking into it and the payments were a lot higher. I've rented the Fords a couple of times for family trips and the entire family loves them.
Ok, sounds like these are not lease friendly
. That's definitely a negative...

You don't get a new one. They devalue much more in the first year. A leasing place once told me that 12/15 vans are the only type he doesn't getnew for this reason.
How much are they slightly used? Is it basically the same price range as the minivans or even less?

The ones I bought were 8-9 months old with 6-8000 miles and were a little higher than minivans but not really comparable since you don't really get those with these specs.

From Leaseland in Monsey. We were extremely happy with anything we ever got from him.

When Bingo starts selling them it might warrant a trip.

Purchased. Had one for over ten years with few issues and then sold that once a battery charge issue started coming up and got a transit which has meanwhile had no issues over 3 years.

For clarity, when we bought the E150 back then it cost about the same as the minivans were selling for. That was actually 8 seater and we installed the back 4 seat bench ourselves afterwards. The Transit we bought as a 15 seater and was more than the 3yo minivans were going for at the time but lower milage and newer.
