Were people sitting for most of the flight?
I barely recall sitting at all on UA747.
Not at all. Though they had everyone seated for the drawing of the 747 for safety reasons. They dropped from 37,000 ft to 10,000 ft and went to half speed to improve accuracy. And there was lots of turning.... But for the most part, very unrestricted. Especially in the ultra spacious premium cabins. Was easily able to hang around on the upper deck without getting in the way of the seated passengers. Just tons and tons of space. (The main thing that new premium cabins lack)
