We went to a site that turned out to be a scam. We were directed to pay via PayPal as friends and family, and did not realize that at the time. We used a Bank of America (BOA) card, but apparently PayPal paid out and then charged the card. I filed a dispute with BOA and got the charge provisionally taken off but then it was reinstated after the seller sent fake shipping info and PayPal said we violated terms by buying goods via friends and family. Now BOA says that we must pay even though we sent information proving that we never got anything (went to the post office and got the tracking number from the seller checked to see that the package they gave was not to my address). The investigation is still open but BOA says we must pay by January 14 or get late fees. I complained to PayPal first, as I never got an email from the seller confirming the purchase (and cannot get hold of the seller), but they denied my request, so I went to BOA.
Any ideas?
