Planning a Vacation - help!
« on: October 23, 2011, 10:20:05 PM »
Hi I'm hoping someone here can give me some advice. I'd like to take my wife away this winter for 3-4 days (not over a shabbos) to somewhere warm, an island or tropical resort. I live in the NY area and would prefer not to have to fly for a very long time to get there, so I think destinations in proximity of the west coast would be ruled out. As far as I know that leaves me pretty much with the Caribbean. I have zero experience and knowledge with that. I do have a fair amount of Starwood points at my disposal, so I'd like to use those and stay at a (REALLY) NICE Starwood hotel. Can anyone advise me on what would be a good plan, as far as where to stay, how to get there, what to see/do etc? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

its a dump, service was bad, and if u bring any type of cooking utensil, they will take it away from you, when they clean your room, and they wont return it until check out

Huh? How can they do that? Did you complain to SPG?

I bet they claim it's a 'safety hazard', or another similar excuse.
