I have a brother in law that has mosaic
He booked a flight for him, me and my wife (my baby is a lap child) so I'll get the perks
So my brother in law doesn't plan on traveling, he only booked his flight so I get the mosaic perks
Will I be able to put my baby in his seat? At boarding I should scan my brother in laws ticket?

It is illegal to impersonate a Traveller, so scanning his boarding pass is a bad idea.

Scanning it is the better idea in that respect, but as I said, the consequences of using someone else's boarding pass are worse if you are caught.

You can call jetblue they allow the purchase of an extra seat for a passenger already booked on the flight they may require that seat to be canceled and rebooked, what benefits do you expect to get from being booked on a mosaic account? the only benefit you can keep without the mosaic member flying is the ability to cancel the tickets for a credit.
