Depends which card. You can earn EQMs for spending on the CO Presidential Plus CC (not 1eqm per dollar spent), but I'm not sure what'll happen to that card come 2012.

It continues to earn 1,000 F(lex)EQMs/$5000 but can no longer be applied above 75k EQMS/year.

so it seems that no more being able to  get elite status on  airlines anymore, except if you are one of those that fly a million miles, so we`have to start working at least for free ticket soon they may change these rules to,
