How It Works
Enroll & Link
1. Enroll to split purchases
2. Link to your Venmo and/or PayPal account
Split a Purchase Amount
1. Tap a Card transaction in the Home tab of the Amex App and select Split It
2. Select the contacts you want to split with
3. We’ll then send the split requests from your linked Venmo or PayPal account to the contacts you chose
4. When you get paid back, the money will be applied to your linked Venmo or PayPal
You are responsible for paying the full purchase amount which will appear on your Card statement. You’ll keep all the rewards that you earn for the purchase that you split.
Split will be available for a limited time. We plan to launch enhanced features after June 2020 that will require re-enrollment. We will notify you if and when these features become available.
