rioja doesn't have this problem at all its a medium body, barely any tannins. capcanes [perja habib] definitely has overpowering tannins unless you recently tasted the '03 '05 which may have become more smooth in the last year or so
No tannin problem on Rioja, just vinegar issue.
Are you in NY? Maybe we should sit over one of my '10 Peraj bottles and figure out what exactly it is you don't like about it ;)
Wine DO?

I'm not in NY now but I might consider a wine do.
nothing at all is wrong with peraj I'm just saying its a good idea to let it air out a while before unless you don't mind not enjoying such a special wine to the fullest
their wines is really one of the best I've ever tasted. besides its very unique blend.

I would appreciate if someone can give me a review on their flor-de-flor
I'm just say'in©®

Had it a long time ago. Overrated rings a bell but not 100% sure.

Just had a great wine: Barkan Barbera 07. Not sure how much $ but tasted pricier than it is.

As far as i know the most expensive standard kosher bottle (not talking about aged or soldout wines) is less than $500, so i'm curious which bottle that was?

By far my favorite wine:
Cardova Rioja (from Spain)
https://winelibrary.com/reviewwine.asp?item=20192#

You can find the 2009 for like $12 - $13 online. This wine is better than some $100 bottles I have had.
